Teaching

  • Numerical Analysis : Machine error, numerical integration, interpolation, root-finding algorithms (Newton’s method, bisection method), numerical methods for linear systems, least squares method, eigenvalue algorithms (power iteration), finite differences for 1st and 2nd order ODEs.
  • Algebra and Analysis : 1st order linear ODEs, Taylor expansions, asymptotic analysis, integrals, improper integrals, systems of linear equations, linear Algebra, eigenvalues and eigenvectors
  • Other : Python basics for scientific applications

Coding Experience

I use essentially Fortran 90 for coding my main projects with a touch of MPIf90 for parallel computing. I use python for very quick tests that do not require much performance and sometimes for post-processing. I also use Wolfram mathematica for long formal calculations and double-checking some theoretical developments.
